The Vision
“And afterward, I will pour out my Spirit on all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy, your old men will dream dreams, your young men will see visions. Even on my servants, both men and women, I will pour out my Spirit in those days. I will show wonders in the heavens and on the earth, blood and fire and billows of smoke. The sun will be turned to darkness and the moon to blood before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the Lord. And everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved; for on Mount Zion and in Jerusalem there will be deliverance, as the Lord has said, even among the survivors whom the Lord calls”. Joel 2:28-32
Throughout history, God has warned humanity of future events that would befall them. He did so through prophets when possible, or through dreams, visions, or prophecies granted to simple seekers of truth. The Bible is full of examples. Although I am nothing special, I have had several significant dreams and some have come true.
One of these dreams was truly unique. It was given to me on the night of December 29, 2015, now ten years ago. The content of this dream was far beyond my comprehension at the time, and it still puzzles me today. It involved a veritable cataclysm. I am unable to offer an explanation, but I nevertheless feel an urgency to share it. Perhaps its message will crystallize as things are revealed. God generally shows important things to several people.

The dream began pleasantly. I was driving along the highway, in the hills above the Lavaux vineyards bordering Lake Geneva. My attention was drawn to the unusual sky that late afternoon. Colorful clouds were developing, giving the sky a picturesque appearance. I thought of the paintings of the English painter William Turner, who had been inspired by Switzerland at a time when evenings were generally very colorful. His glowing red skies, known as "alpenglow," are one of the atmospheric effects of the eruption of Mount Tambora in Indonesia in 1815. The eruption killed tens of thousands of people and was followed by a climatic catastrophe that claimed countless lives. It caused famines as far away as Europe. The same thing happened again in 1883, after the eruption of Krakatoa in Indonesia.

I was captivated by the sky, tinged with an intense yellow, and I was thinking of stopping as soon as possible to capture it. But at that moment, the color began to shift to a greenish-yellow. A rather unappealing hue, reminiscent of human-caused chemical pollution. And as I continued on my way, I noticed that these clouds were being fed by columns of smoke rising from the ground.

Three equidistant shafts, located on the French side of the lake, were spewing thick smoke. The first was located between Saint-Juliens-en-Genevois and Annemasse, and the last approximately at the same latitude as Thonon-les-Bains. As I continued towards Geneva, things became truly alarming. The shafts were suddenly connected by a wide fissure that opened up along the entire distance between them. Yellow smoke billowed from it, and soon a roll of black ash swept across the lake at great speed, engulfing everything in its path.

People who had gone out to watch the spectacle of the colored clouds, suddenly became aware of the danger. When they could, they ran for refuge in the basements. But everything was quickly engulfed, right up to where I was, above the vineyard. When calm returned and the dust cloud had settled, the sight was astounding. There was no longer a lake, or trees, nor houses, but a desolate, uniform expanse of ash had replaced this beautiful landscape. … End of the vision.

What are visions?
The visions that God gives do not always foretell events with a predetermined outcome. Sometimes they help people prepare for them, but other times they are an invitation to pray that what is unfolding will be stopped and that the event will not occur. Anyone who wishes to express a precise thought about the meaning of a vision or a prophetic dream must truly be certain of their assertion. One cannot simply frighten people, and God trains His prophets in discernment and prudence. Sometimes these things must be kept secret and allowed to mature through events. But as I mentioned in the introduction, I felt it was now time to share this vision. But giving a precise explanation to such dream can be risky. The color yellow represents the sun, strength, and faith in God. Green means acidic, not ripe. Mixed with yellow, it can represent negative spiritual influences, such as the rise and takeover of an ideology emerging from hell. The dream may foreshadow natural events, for example, a seismic event. Or even an accident caused by humans in the context of a physics experiment. Elements such as smoke, spreading fire, and the desolation that follows can be a representation of what has been brewing, and which finally struck Israel on that fateful October 7th. We are certainly not immune to such an attack, and it is a threat that our governments take very seriously, even if they try to conceal it. The setting of the dream may be a familiar place, while the dream's scope may be broader and extend beyond the known. The details then become indicators. I admit to having thought about different scenarios over the years, which are all avenues that I keep in mind.
Who are prophetic visions for? Just anyone. Man is naturally linked to eternity and that link is supernatural. Jesus said, in Matthew 16: “When evening comes, you say, ‘It will be fair weather, for the sky is red,’ and in the morning, ‘Today it will be stormy, for the sky is red and overcast.’ You know how to interpret the appearance of the sky, but you cannot interpret the signs of the times”. Jesus expects us to understand our place in history and not to live like blind ants in their anthill. We should all be prophets, said Moses: “I wish that all the Lord’s people would be prophets, and that the Lord would pour out his Spirit on them” (Numbers 11:29). This would have made Moses' life much more enjoyable!
